Is your line vertical as in from top to bottom ? if it is then the fault is a horizontal sweep problem. If that be the case then for such a fault to exist says that nearly everything in the TV is working including the high voltage ! Probably a dry soldered joint on the flyback transformer or less likely a faulty deflection yoke , I would go with the dry joint !!!If that is the case then it can be fixed by any half competent TV tech as a house call !!! Best of luck !!!

Check along the bottom of the screen. See if there is a narrow door, it may open/flip downwards. It may be about 10" in length. If it is there, there should be adjustment knobs or screws for adjustments.

If none work it may be bad. Only a technician can determine.

As for replacing, consider the age, and cost of repair.

When my TV broke I priced out repair vs. replacement.

Since mine was so big it would require a house call, the repair price became prohibitive. I just bought a new one.
