Assuming you're talking about the female: Some would say top. This would be so you could control the depth (if he's like those of us that are a little thicker and longer) If he is experienced and isn't going to hit it too hard then the bottom is better because your canal is shaped to accomodate that position. The way you are curved, internally, makes that position more comfortable sometimes.

It depends.
If you are on top you are in more control and can take things at your own pace if if feels uncomfortable.
However, if the person you are sleeping with is not a virgin it may be more comfortable to go on your back in the missionary position as they may know how to move.
Just remember that with sex - practice makes perfect.
Make sure you use a condom and make sure that it is with a guy who you trust and makes you feel comfortable.
There is nothing better in the world than good loving sex and nothing worse in the world than bad sex.

depends on if the person you're with is also a first timer. Whoevers first time it is should be on the bottom to start, then try other positions after.

I'd say the bottom, because you don't really know what you are doing. Til you learn let the guy lead you through a few moves first. And let him take control to help you find the right motion.

That depends on your "frame of mind" with that person. I wouldn't bottom for all the money in the world for some guys and I couldn't wait to for some others. So it depends on the persons involved.

It's better to be in a committed relationship, after say, a year or so, to be over 18, and to have your own place to live.

Just try lots of positions and you'll find one most comfortable and you can go on from there.
