Depends what kind of place you want! Loads of places do good cocktails these days so there are lots to pick from but some are very expensive and some are very towny.

A few of the less mainstream places i like are: Guanabara off Drury Lane - a Brazilian bar with a great happy hour, B @ 1 on Wellington Street (Covent Garden) is a small but fantastically fun venue any night of the week with a huge cocktail menu, Jewel has two bars, one at Piccadilly and one in Covent Garden and they are cool individual bars with good drinks menu, Match just off Oxford Street, the latest place that has opened is The Club: Bar and Dining but i havent tested that one out yet!

www.viewlondon.co.uk is a really useful website for finding bars and so on. www.worldsbestbars.co.uk can be quite useful. hope you have a good night!

Ian

I would recommend Claridges off Bond Street for a small intimate place - not cheap but then it's one of the best hotels in London, alternatively The Lanesborough at Hyde Park Corner - the Library bar - even more intimate - great staff, piano player. Or if you want something more buzzy you could try the Long Bar at The Sanderson which is off Oxford Street.

In fact none of these are cheap - but a cheap cocktail is not a cocktail!

Enjoy
