No marijuana is not alot worse than alcohol. Alcohol results in more deaths because of the many different way in which it kills. Drink driving, drink related assaults, drink related suicides and depression. Marijuana doesnt have a patch on the deaths involved but then again it isnt legal and is not as available and socially accepted. But Marijuana can be addictive to a minority probably through the addiction to nicotine and it is not a nice thing to see when you see a once fully alert and aware person become a shadow of their personality to become listless and and unaware of their surroundings.

you cannot exactly get addicted to marijuana and unlike normal cigarets it has no other chemicals put into it after being dried enough to smoke unless you lace it with acid or something where smokes are full of other chemicals, alcohol is way worse and trust me on this, I'm 24 and a alcoholic and if I don't have alcohol and stop cold turkey I have a 98% chance of having a fit and slipping into a coma unless I take the right medication which is what I'm going to be trying in the next 3 weeks as it has to be in a controlled enviroment for me to come off alcohol, where as marijuana you don't have to go through this form off detox and it will not kill you as fast as smoking normal tobacco or drinking alcohol. If I don't stop drinking I could be dead in 4 years or so,and just another thing is my liver count gets higher and higher daily I'm now sitting on 486 and 2 weeks ago was not much better after trying detox the 1st time that I failed to give up. your liver count should be below 40 and whether you are drunk or not when taking the test,it dosen't change the results.

In my opinion no, it's not. But there are a few reasons, I don't think it would ever be legal. I think someone else already said that it would be hard for the government to regulate it. This much is true, marijuana comes from so many different sources, that it would be hard to tax. Another reason no one really thinks about is the difference between alcohol and marijuana, if you get pulled over by a cop he can give you a breathalyzer and tell whether or not you've been recently drinking. THC stays in the system for a while, and there is no test to check if it was recently consumed.

I personally believe alcohol is worse.
1. Alcohol easier to come by.
2. More socially acceptable. People don't have a issue drinking but the legal aspects of pot stops them.
3. Seems to change people moods more. You don't see to many potheads looking for a fight after smoking a fattie. They might be searching for Doritos. Now alcohol can give people beer muscles & make them think they are bulletproof or the toughest in a bar.
4. Killed more people. Pot on the other hand has some proven medicinal benifits.
These are just a few thoughts off the top of my head.

Marijuana is nothing compared to alcohol. Alcohol causes a lot more damage to your mental and physical integrity, as well as to that of others. The only reason marijuana isn't legal is because there are industries and big money-making corporations that lobby against it because it would hurt their business. Besides, it's commonly refered to as a drug, and there's this whole anti-drugs propaganda putting misconceptions and ill-founded prejudices into people's heads. Many drugs are bad, yeah, but when compared to alcohol and cigarretes, marijuana ain't that bad. Besides, the addiction to marijuana is a lot more phychological and arguably physical at all, meaning it's a lot easier to break it, unlike alcohol and cigarretes, that cause both physical and psychological addiction.

That's hard to say. Neither one is too bad if you use it wisely and in moderation. But either one can really mess up your life if you get hooked. I'm afraid that in the United States marijuana is a lot worse because it is illegal and you don't need to get invovled in something illegal. It's not worth it. There are so many things to do that are much more fun and are legal.
Ha, ha! Look at what ENAMORAD said " im at work high and functioning function perfectly" Functioning so well that she's repeating herself. I guess she's not at a job that requires too much thought or short term memory!!

Marijuana is probably not allot worse than alcohol, however, it does have some very frightening aspects. Pot has been shown to cause damage to chromosomes in people who smoke which definately could cause birth defects in babies born to people who use it. What is especially scary is that the damage done to the eggs in a woman pot user is permanent causing birth defects ten years after the last use. Alcohol unquestionably is more harmful to the user in its damage to the liver and stomach.

no..it isn't. The government can't control it, that is why it is illegal. Alcohol related deaths are FAR more in number than marijuana related deaths.
Marijuana does have some negative long term effects such as short term memory. And the Spicolli character on Fast Times at Ridgemont High is not at all far off what happens when someone smokes it all the time.
I used to smoke it all the time myself and it took me quite some time to recover. I got burnt out.If you want to know more just email me...i would be glad to tell you about it

No.Although it is illegal,MJ dosen't cause all the damage that alcohol. It's legal in several states by prescription. You won't hear of a DOC prescribing alcohol.People don't ruin their lives and their families lives over weed. You don't go into DT's if you don't have MJ,and your more likely to kill someone or yourself if you drink and dry.MJ's problem is being illegal. It can actually help some people.
