yep...just put it in your hair, sit out in the sun, and when its dry it will look like they are natural highlights, and if they arent dark enough then put more in and go sit out in the sun some more.

Yes it does work if you spend some time out in the sun. i am not sure if a blow dryer will do the same thing. Just don't do it too often because it will dry your hair out. What I have done is washed mine, then squeezed juice in form fresh lemons and lay out in the sun to let my hair dry. It does produce some nice highlights. I have also heard of mixing vodka with it, but that will dry out your hair much faster.
If you want to go unnatural there are some good highlighting products out there you can do at home or have a buddy help you with. If you hair is any shade of brown, avoid Sun-In because it will turn your hair orange. If you use any of these products do the allergy test suggested to make sure you don't have a reaction. There's always the beauty parlor too, but it is expensive and I personally can't stand the smell of perm solution, so I do all my hair maintenance my self (I am growing it out, so snipping the bangs and split ends is no biggie. I personally like Clairol and Ferria. The Clairol is pretty easy on your hair, the Ferria is a little more drying. Any coloring you do to your hair (or highlighting) will make it thicker and a little dryer, so use a good conditioner!
Good luck!

It does work on dark hair!

In fact, I have dark, curly hair (African heritage) and when I did the lemon juice thing back in elementary school my hair started turning a dark shade of red. Dark burgundy to be exact!

The trick (whether you have dark hair or not) is to do the lemon rinse then sit for about 45-60 minutes in direct sunlight. Rinse out then condition.

After about three applications, you'll see a difference.

Yes, I've done it, but you have to be out in sun a long time, or use blow dryer. Keep applying lemon juice when hair dries.

It can. But Sun-In works a lot better and a lot faster.
However it is quite damaging! I would recommend if you ever do think about doing (I know you mentioned you weren't going to do it) I'd definantly go to a hair salon to lighten your hair.

Yes, but it might damage your hair/irritate your scalp since it's acidic and all.
Good luck though =)
