Learn how to play the game...even in Math. When you walk into Math class, you are all about Math. Remember, you teacher went to school for YEARS to be a math teacher and probably is a frustrated wanna-be jock. Don't give her a reason to utter a thing to your coach. It's all about fractions and cosigns...this is just one of the many times you are going to have to learn to play the game in a game you don't really care about. You'll have to do it with bosses, clients, etc. someday.
Also, you may not think you're being a smart alec but in reality you could have really bad body language, rollling eyes back, etc. Everyone gives teachers a bad rap but they are human if treated with repect...give it a try.

Have your parents call the school principal and your math teacher as well as your coach and hold a confrence to get to the bottom of it. Make 'em swear on a bible to tell the truth. If they have nothing to hide, they should have no problem with this. If they do not believe, they still should have no problem with this as their oath would mean nothing to them.
If this option fails, take the matter to the school board until you get satisfaction. Start doing research on the school regs for your district.

My freshman year algebra teacher like to critisize my spititual beliefs and sugar coat them so it would seem that I was the one that was narrow-minded and had to respect her opinions. I talked to her about it once, I even apologizised for whatever misunderstanding had ignited and she said she had nothing against me, then later I think she changed my grade so I didn't get on the honor rolls' list (The only time I didn't that year) Now I regret not telling the schoolboard about it, I suggest you do!
Best of luck!

That's not the worst end of it. Our freshman team gets in trouble for being late to class. they condition the whole 2 and a half hours of practice. If i were you i would talk to her and ask her why she treats me like she does. I that doesn't work then ask your parents to email her and raise hell. LOLOLOLOL j/k!!!
Try it. It might work.
