The information for what to put in the Add and Remove program is stored in the wndows Registry.

Delete the appropriate key under the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

----------------- or -----------------

Use TweakUI PowerToy (which is free) to remove the program from the list of installed software. To do so, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double- click TweakUI.
2. Click the Add\Remove tab, click the program that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
3. Click OK, and then close Control Panel.

There are third-party programs around that allow you to remove entries from your add/remove software list. I'm afraid I cant remember the one I used to use, although I believe Spybot S&D may be able to do it.
