I've done this. They turn red in the cheeks and then get a slightly geen tint to the rest of their body. When they die they dissolve into goo.

lol. well...if you choke a normal person, they turn purple. so i suppose if a smurf turned purple, on top of being blue, they would be indigo.

since we are flesh colored and when choked turn blue I would guess that smurfs would be just the opposite since they are blue they would turn flesh colored.

to be scientifically correct, if you choke a White person they turn blue, choke a black person and you better sleep with door locked.

It turns Orange.... hello.... They are origionally an odd color, so then that would make them turn an odd color without oxygen. So the answer is orange.
