Dose not common sense tell you that just because we were born into a certian faith that it might not be correct. Isn't research in truth needed? If most churches got rid of their man made traditions they would know what to beleive.Example; the Christmas celebration and easter celebrations predate Chris over a thousand years. The christian trinity came 250 years after Christ. Started by Constantine. Oh well quess I started enough troubl for one day.
Good bye friend

No, each person need to find their own way.

Parents should act as guides and helpers but should not dictate the faith of their children.

I think it is the duty upon every individual to learn about the religion he was born into. I mean with all the religions in the world today, not all of them can be right. My parents always taught me to keep digging for the truth and i did even though i left the religion i was born into but do not regret it.
To me, the thing that keeps a person from learning about religion in fear. Is there something? Maybe this isn't the right religion? But if i leave my family and friends may shun me?

It really does take a lot of courage to explore and see what is out there.

No...but as a child it is best to goalong with what you can untill you are on your own...Easter and Christmas are Christian celabrations. While there were indeed other holidays, of pagan origin paraleling, The celibrations of The Christian Faith are to Christ, so did not"predate"...

the Trinity is; The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit.... They, as The One God, were around a long time before Constantine...

Man is a being whom God furnishes with the faculty of thought. Yet, most people do not use this very important faculty as they should. In fact, some people almost never think.

In truth, each person possesses a capacity for thought of which even he himself is unaware. Once man begins to use this capacity, facts he has not been able to realise until that very moment begin to be uncovered for him. The deeper he goes in reflection, the more his capacity to think improves, and this is possible for everyone. One just has to realise that one needs to reflect and then to strive hard.

We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between them as a game. We did not create them except with truth but most of them do not know it. (Al Quran 44: 38-39)
Did you suppose that We created you for amusement and that you would not return to Us? (Al Quran 23: 115).

Your starting point is good: but also remember that what you think a religion believes may not be correct: especially if you're getting into teenage years and thinking that the knowledge formed in your child's brain was complete. Rather than taking pot-shots at it, go research it with an open mind.

I think to BE born into a religion is plain wrong. If one wants to raise a free thinking being he/she should be wary of putting such ideas into innocent kids' heads, because to get rid of all the junk pushed on you later in life becomes more difficult.

Some people live all their lives not even realizing their thoughts were shaped by other people, governments, times.
