Go to a British store. I go to a German store/butcher to get my Ritter Sport Chocolate bars and other groceries. MMMmmm Ritter Sport Chocolate Cornflake bar.

I actually prefer foreign candies and chocolates to American.

if you have a cost plus world markets in your area i know they carry a variety of british chocolates, biscuits, and digestives among other distinctly british foods. there are also various 'british' shops that will carry those types of food. but those may be few and far between. usually where ever there's a concentration of british expatriates you'll find one of those shops.
i've been searching for plain hob nobs ever since i got back from london. i can only find the chocolate covered kind.
check online. you can probably find a site that sells and ships what you want. i included a link below.

Do a search for British shops - I should imagine they are in most big American cities - there are several in New York for example (some are called Scottish shops, or English), they do UK confectionary and I'm sure there will be some that do mail order.

Personally, and I'm English, I dislike our chocolate and much prefer European, I find ours too low in cocoa and American too high in sugar.

Bounty's are nice though : )
