Yes, when I was 9 years old a little girl about 4 years old had gotten into the deep water at our neighborhood pool and was strangling and couldn't catch her breath, sucking in water. I picked her up and brought her into shallow water. Her mother never said so much as "Thank you" and just startled yelling at the little girl who was still trying to cough out the water. I also saved a mans life when I was swimming with friends in an old abandoned rack quarry. Some other people were there and a man who could not swim stepped off a ledge and went under. I swam around to the deeper side and, with my feet, pushed him back up on the ledge. If I had tried to do anything like grabbing him, he would have grabbed me and we both would have drowned. I started swimming as a baby, my older brother was a lifeguard and taught me a lot about water safety and what to do and not do when saving people in the water.
Also not an immigration question, but, what the heck.

A guy rolled his car over while driving drunk, me and a friend pulled him out of it and shut the ignition off before it could burn. He was one of those 'lucky drunks' that walked away from it unharmed. The car flipped and rolled about 5 times.
