I make a rockin' apricot crumble:

Fruit filling: Tin of apricots (drain it or you'll end up with something nice, but not exactly crumbly) and some brandy.

Crumble mix: Depends how deep you want the crumble - I don't exactly measure, but I know that its
1 part sugar, 1 part butter (butter, mostly definitely NOT margarine), 2 parts flour. Rub it all in until it looks like crumble mix and then add about a handful of muesli (I use Holland & Barretts apricot muesli, but anything with oats and nuts and dried fruit will do).

Put it in the oven until it smells cooked and looks golden. Serve hot with some ice cream (Carte D'or Greek Yoghurt and Honey)

I have never measured crumble mix, I use about equal quantities of flour and porridge oats, about 1/2 that of sugar, then enough butter to mix with fingers, if you start off with smaller quantities you can add whatever you think you need if it doesn't taste right ( this has never happened to me!), sprinke plenty of sugar on the top! You can be inventive and add; cinnamon, nutmeg, flaked almonds, raisins, anything you like depending on your taste and the fruit you have used. It's an art not a science, it doesn't need to be wholey accurate, just experiment and have fun!

Rub some soft butter into flour and sugar untill it resembles bread crumbs. Thats it.

Sorry I can't give quantities. I'm one of those people who just guess. I would suppose 4oz flour, 2-3oz sugar and 2oz butter.

But I make a beautiful apple and blackberry crumble, which I slop up with Ambrosia custard, though I prefer the pudding warm, custard cold.

What`s wrong with packet crumble mix? Sainsburys is the best. Just chuck it on top of some tinned rhubarb and blackberries. Serve with a dollop of ice cream.... yummy!
