I think the "ultimate" question wouldn't necessarily require an "ultimate" answer. A serious question might end up warranting a silly answer. So I'd say this is an assumption.
All answers require thought, ultimate or otherwise.
Any question requires thought, ultimate or otherwise. To simply compose the question or express in any other fashion would require though unless it could be expressed by the dead.
You seem to be implying, therefore, that the nature of the question drives the nature of the response.
Ultimate question ---> Ultimate answer
Thoughtless question ---> Thoughtless answer
Silly question ---> Silly answer
Since no one knows how to not think, the question that requires no thought couldn't be experienced or expressed (that would require thought) and therefore couldn't be understood to be answered, thoughtlessly or not.

Theologians have made a living answering that questions many ages. Spiritual advisers have made a very good living telling people answers from publications questioner never bother to read. The ult mate question is why do you need an ultimate question, because there well always be people ready to make money telling you what you want to hear.
