What's going on when you tell your girl one day that she is amazing, and all you need, you want her forever, then the next day, act all strange like you're not that into her? Are you just dealing with the strength of your emotions, or what? In other words, what feelings could make your words and actions so contradictory?

When I say something such as you presented, I always meant what I said. But I think this "two-faced" behavior can be reflected as the guy doesn't want to make himself seem clingy, desperate, and dependent. Since he give you so much credit yesterday he'll think maybe you are going to get all big-headed so the next day he's gotta play his cards right, or in another words, play hard to get and put on this indifferent vibe so you don't just kick him away because you are starting to think you are better than him now.

It's that simple. The guy doesn't want to get hurt, but he loves you and thinks you are amazing at the same time. It's a self-preservation technique.

Letting someone know that they are amazing, and that they are all you need can only be done with actions. Words are nice, but they really don't mean anything. If this guy is telling you but not showing you, then either he's lying or he simply doesn't know how to treat a woman.

Ask yourself this - If you finally decide it is the latter, do you want to take on the job of teaching him?

Speaking from personal experience, I sometimes say things and then feel that I may have exposed too much of how I feel. Leaving myself feeling vulnerable and able to be taken advantage of. At that time I have to "act" as though I didn't really mean it. In a lame attempt to regain the ground I may have lost in saying such things. Really it's trust issues in my case. Yours may be different.

I think it's because women are so self centered that men must focus their energy on making the female "self" feel special. Once it feels special, then women are willing to give men what they want.

Of course, women complain that this is self-serving (and duplicitous) on the part of men. But really, isn't the crap that women do just as self-serving (and duplicitous?)
