If you’re a mother would you take your son and if you’re a father, then your daughter? Assuming all children are of legal age to go. I know two separate families who are fine with this. They’re families that are very open about nakedness, sexuality, and intimacy. The kind of family where the son is able to talk to his mother about most anything.

This is a sick concept. It has nothing to do with nudity or intimacy. It is about the objectification of the dancer. A desire to do as the questioner suggests is a clear warning sign of abnormal behavior ahead.

I used to bartend at a strip club and I saw many same sex parent/child duos at the club for birthdays and what not but I dont think I ever saw opposite sex pairs. But having worked there and knowing how a normal person can go there and just have fun I have wondered if I would ever take my son there for his 21st birthday or have his dad take him for a little while. I think he would be too embarassed if I took him.

For birthdays and such they put them on stage at some places and pretty much make a fool outta them and make it more of a funny thing than a sexual thing (tho they have their asses right in their faces...) I dont see a huge prob with it if its all in fun.

I am open about sex also. My daughter is only 6 but when she gets older I will have no problem talking to her about sex. I believe there is a difference in negative and positive talks though. I would never take either of children to a strip club because I want them to respect their own and other peoples bodies. My bf has joked that he is going to take our son to one when he gets older but I don't like the idea. I want my son to respect women and not just see them for their bodies and what they can do sexually.

I honestly think that wouldn't be okay unless your family is open to that kind of thing. It would also depend on if the parent planned on getting any special attention from a dancer which would leave the child grossed out. It also would depend on if the parent got drunk and was the only way for the child to get home.

No matter the sex, parents should not be taking their children to strip clubs!!! What are you teaching your children?!?! I mean, really. That's how all these sexual offenders are created at an early age - it is these situations that give them the wrong idea. It's one thing to be open to your family; it's completely another to take them to a strip club.

1. No strip clubs
It's not about *my* sexuality, it about the girls. Their lives are sad stories. Most of them have been abused.

2. Open is one thing, Disturbing lack of boundries is another.
It's not about the nudity. I do Finnish style sauna with realitives all the time. It's that it is a strongly sexual atmosphere. It is innapropriate for parents and children to share that type of entertainment together.

Basically? People go to strip clubs to get "turned on". It is disturbing to think you would want to do that with your parents.

I agree that children should be opened with their parents and vise versa, but what benefit or lessons is there in seeing someone else's nakedness, except for their spouses. What that will do, is that when they do get married, their expectations of what their husband or wife's body should be, won't meet their expectation at all. "you need to look like Lucy the stripper, or Joe the hunk".

hmmm I'm all into being open with famly members about everything including sexual issues BUT when you take your children to a strip club (regardless of gender of parent and child) you cross a boundry. Just like you wouldnt let your children watch you get naked you wouldnt facilitate your children watching others get naked.

I would not take my son to a strip club. That is just bizarre.

I would never take my children to any place like that... I think that it is NOT a healthy atmosphere for anyone, regardless of age.
