If the Pope reads what is written in the Koran or what another person thought about it, why should Christians lives be threatened?

Darwinian, The Christian population is growning in Iraq right (north mostly)now because of religious freedom in the constitution.

Yes many Christians have been killed in the past since Iraq started out being Christian & now Islam is majority. Iraq for Jesus now.

Rabi K, Haven't you heard also? There was WMD that was sent by land & air to Syria from Iraq before & after we entered Iraq. Get the book Saddam's Secrets. We haven't found the WMD yet. That's why the media communicates what it does.

rabik, We aren't killing innocent people in Iraq either, nor are we occupying. It is the terrorists that are killing the innocent. We are there to protect the Iraqi people from those (Islamic Terrorists) who want to destroy their new constitution & invade Iraq.

Les. The Iraq territory was one of the first Christian territories, Also Syria used to be Niniva & was one of the first Christian territories.

What the Pope said about Islam being won by the Sword is true.

because they don't want anybody to know the truth about Islam! typical muslim attitude, though blame one person for what another said. I guess they haven't learned that words cannot hurt them, neither have they developed a sense of humour, nor a sense oftime. Hell, they are still going on about the crusades!

Iraq is an islamic country bitterly divided as much as protestants and catholics once were. It is also an occupied country. And in a state of anarchy. There is no one there to speak with one voice even for a fraction of the community.
In other words, Iraq is not threatening the lives of christians. Also you should note, Iraq may be islamic but it is not Islam.
Get your facts right! Iraq is not and never has been a christian country.
Muslim 97% (Shi'a 60%-65%, Sunni 32%-37%), Christian or other 3%

No one should kill anybody for any resons whatsoever,.
Why in the first place before taking on Islam the Pope does not ask George Bush to appologize for telling a lie about WMD, killing innocent people and occupying a sovereign country?.

Good question. It doesn't make sense and not the right thing to do, is to KILL. The Pope has already apologized for saying something to offend the muslim world. Isn't that enough. Boy it must be terrible to sit on a powder keg, just waiting for a person to say the wrong thing, or to look the wrong way, Only to explode for little and no reason. What is wrong ??? Good Grief, live and let live. That is right, why does a Christian have to die, for something so small. Is that all the muslims want to do is Kill ??? They better stop to realize that this is not the right way. God says , Thou Shalt Not Kill !!!!!

Because they are dysfunctional people formed by a dysfunctional religion. Instead of offering correction through citation, logic and of course charity, they threaten like an uneducated bully, give ultimatums like the mafia, and claim that they are the victim.

Islam and its government go hand in hand. Iraq was by comparison secular in government because of its modified sharia law. They were not under sharia law such as Saudi Arabia and Iran.

The contrast between Christianity and Islam is like night and day.
If those who look at both sides can see, one is proclaiming the truth and one is denying it. When the truth hurts, the ones being exposed have a choice of accepting it and changing, or denying it and continue living in error.

People died over the Mohammed cartoon, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Killing innocent people over the words of one man seems extreme, but we are talking Islam, the religion of peace, right? No offense to Muslims, but its a fact. If the pope criticized any other religion, I'm betting they wouldn't threaten to kill anyone over it, especially innocent people, but that's what Islam has shown so far.

its the nature of the religion-supposidly saying Jesus is a true prophet who tells us to love our enemies and do good to them-to present them with the gospel.

its a power move-to put pressure on keeping truth from being told-and for future words discreting islam.

great question -the answer is prayer-and the power of Jesus -when people are told they cant believe something in a rigid regiem many will and -what satan means for evil -Jesus turns into good.

Not all Muslim's - but these particular Muslims use the Koran as an excuse to bully and intimidate people of other faiths claiming they are moral in what they do.
