check with your Vet to get recommendations on dog trainers. If you use the yellow pages, make sure you observe their training techniques prior to signing up.

Look in the Yellow pages. Ask at a pet store. Ask your friends who have dogs.

Before you sign up for a course, go and watch the trainer in action. Make sure at he or she trains the way you want your dog trained. Are the dogs happy to enter the class? Are the handlers happy? How big is the class? Is the facility clean?
