When I joined the cut off was 27. But be forewarned, you are 25 and have established a life pattern. If you are at all set in your ways think hard about it. Your whole life will change. You will have guys your age or younger in your face, ordering you around night and day for the first 13 weeks. That's just boot camp. You will be training with 18 and 19 year olds.
But the upside is you have some years of life experience going for you. If you can channel that you should do OK.

You are not too old to join but I must tell you that you will not be able to get close to those of the same rank when you get to your unit. The Privates will all be 19 or 20 and will not have the life experience you have. You will have to do some adjusting to being treated like a child. Good Luck to you!

No, it's not. I believe that people can join up to age 32 or 35, with a waiver. If you're considering joining, now is the best time. When I joined, I was 18, but there were women in my platoon who were in their late twenties and early thirties.

Good luck!

Physically, I'd say no. But at 25, you've already had 7 years of enjoying personal freedom. You'll have to give up a lot, so just keep that in mind.

27 for active duty marines, 42 for us army but in the army not all posits are open to you id do it right now! just dont sign up for the infantry, theres all kinds of benefits and very few drawbacks. even if you hate it, its still an accomplishment that will last your whole life

Nope! I say go for it, and Good for you for wanting to join!! Keep your head up, and go talk to a recruiter! Be up-front with him. Tell him what you want, and be stern. They can't talk you into anything you dont want to do. Be sure and pick a job you like, and try your hardest to get it! Good luck!!!!!! =)

Not too old. And you'll still be able to do fun stuff...so don't think of it as laying your joy down.
