me a mood-ring to monitor my moods. When I'm in a good mood, it
turns green. When I'm in a bad mood, it leaves a big red mark on his
forehead. Maybe next time he'll buy diamonds.

When you have PMS you tend to crave stuff, like chocolate. It is never a good idea to tell someone with PMS that they have PMS.(you will get hurt) Your back aches because your overies are swollen. Your tummy hurts because you are cramping hard. You feel like you stink and everyine within 5 ft can smell you no matter how many showers you take. You are tired because your body hurts and you have to try to act like you are fine so no one knows you have your period. If you are a teenager it is worse. Your skin feels oily and you sweat more. You just want to try to find a quiet place to curl up and rest. You are loosing alot of blood so you are exausted. Men make comments about how bitchy you are and since you are tired you feel close to throwing something at him. You can help by being patient. Backrubs are wonderful. Hot water bottles for the belly. Wine helps, not in excess but a glass helps you relax. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ASK IF SHE IS PMSING! Good luck.

PMS is different from having a period. When it's time for the monthly visit, most girls feel bloated, crampy, or just plain crappy feeling. The best thing to do is try to understand that she doesn't feel that great. Kind of like when you have a cold. So don't ask too much from her, if she's having cramps, then offer to get her a drink, or stuff like that.

For 3 days I feel I'm dying and can't move! The best thing my husband does is runs me a hot bath to relax in and them gives me a lower back rub! That is the greatest thing in the world for PMS and cramping!

Make chocolate pudding, hot chocolate and buy a veggie burger and fries, some movies and some Advil. A hot, steamed towel is nice. Lots of pillows and a footstool, maybe a heated cushion. There are special ones you can get for pain and you heat them up in the microwave.

I wouldn't know where to start with the symptoms that I get. Every woman is different but I think we would lilke the same reaction from our partner: understanding, comfort (when needed), space (when needed) and help with the stuff around the house. I know that it can be hard to know when to do what, but trust me when I tell you that sometimes we don't even know ourselves!
