i love the name topez! it's sounds so pretty use it even if you don't like the color!

If you like the name Topez, then you should choose that. Don't change your mind simply beacause the color of the topaz Gem is not to your liking. It's a great name and quite unique.

Well, you're obviously not naming the cat for color - Topaz is cute! And if he/she happens to be feisty, you could jovially dub him/her Topaz the Spaz!!! lol. Topaz is better than Ruby; it's more unique.

see the cat before you choose the name. if you choose a name before, it may not seem like what you would like for its name.
