I have never sensed a ghost with any of my five senses but I do believe ghosts exist. I don't have an explanation for why they exist (i.e. many people think they have unfinished business, are stuck between life and afterlife, etc) but I do believe they exist.

Saying that although you've never experienced Paris, France with your senses but through the knowledge of what is fact, you know that Paris, France exists pretty much because it is a documented present day location that millions of people live within and talk about all the time through the media, and through non-verbal communication via video footage and photography of its landscape that has been exploited through television (media)and via the internet and the mail.
This does not line up with evolutionary theory because there is no empirical and substantial evidence for transitional "descent with modification" via random mutations chosen from natural selection over millions and millions of years. We have not witnessed these happenings, nor is there a labratory explanation on how a fish can become a mammel such as a rabbit or how a reptile such as a dinosaur can evolve/devolve into a bird. This is macro-evolution, which is pseudo-science, and not based on fact, in fact, it can hardly even be considered a theory based on the fact that its never been observed. Micro-evolution isn't evolution in regards to "descent with modification" since micro-evolution loses information within an organisms DNA and causes only variation within the same species, rather than the needed added information within DNA to create another species.
You believe Paris, France exists because although you've never physically experienced its existence, we coexist with it.
You believe in evolution because of the extinct species which are witnesses to evolution.
Your second statement is false logic because extinct species do not count for evolution, they account for the loss in a species.

The following reference material (from Google) requires a very intellectual and philosophical mind to digest and understand, but by all means read and ponder.
Google “Brains in a vat” for the latest reference material.
It basically suggests and refutes that we (you or anyone) are just brains in a vat connected to a super-computer because we are able to ask the question “are we just brains in a vat” or “I think, therefore I am”. Unfortunately the theory is flawed because it assumes we are dealing with human terms, human logic and human brains in a vat, but that may not be the case.
It is possible that everything we think, feel, touch, hear, believe, sense, taste, smell, you name it is in fact virtual, and everything science or religion puts forward is virtual. It is possible that all the troubles in the world are virtual. It is possible that the universe is virtual, and therefore the intelligence (you) in a vat will never know the answers to anything in our world or universe.
It’s possible that we (you, me, everyone) are some form of intelligence in a vat, and therefore we are virtual and don't exist in the form or manner that we believe we do. It is possible that we may not even be human. Should this state (brains in a vat) truly exist then you would be unable to prove to anyone through any medium that you exist in the first place, but it does raise the possibility that we requested to be in this state for some unknown reason. Perhaps to learn or experience something.
What I like about the above theory, is that is that it offers a possible way for everyone to be correct. For believers and non-believers to be correct, for science and religion to be correct, for hurt and happiness to make sense. Namely, none of these situations really exist in the first place. Everything is virtual for an unknown reason.
Human intelligence as we understand it, could be intelligence controlled by a higher intelligence in another dimension. and everything we think and believe to be true is virtual. Such a possibility would account for all the madness that seems so prolific in humanity, but leave open an obvious curious question – “Why would we request such a state or be put into such a state”.

I believe that something is watching over me, even if I can't see it. Being so close to hell and coming out intact was not just luck.
On a different note, I belive the Juluis Caesar existed, but I have never met him, seen him, touched him, etc. Yet I think he existed because of the many historical records and artifacts about him....*shrugs* so that's what I think. By the way glad you're back Jim.

I think that there really is a Santa Claus. However, I did not see him but he did eat the cookie and leave the crumbs I left out for him one year. He left me a doll that had tears and also went pee.
You cannot disbelieve when I have proof of his existence. I even heard him rustling around the living room putting presents under the xmas tree, too.

I believe gravity exists. But even if I didn't, it would still have a great effect on me. Same with germs. I've never seen, smelled or tasted one, but I've felt their great effect - great enough to stop me in my tracks and almost kill me.
God is more powerful than either. In fact, He created them, and you and me and the fish and the birds and the platypus. He created us so that we would change (or dare I say ~evolve~) as our environment demands.
Unfortunately, with free will came the fall of man, and with that came the ability to question our existence, and with that, an insatiable thirst for knowledge beyond His word. Some might say we've evolved too much, but I'm sure it's all part of His plan.

What does it all matter. Life on earth is just a window in existence. Give your brain a rest. Experience the eternal now. That is all that exists for you. what you experience in the now. If you ponder too much on what is real and what is not you miss out on life altogether.

It is all a matter of faith and credibility of your source. Since I have never seen Paris, I dont know if it truly exists- But I have faith that books, maps, etc are fact the represent that place to make me know it is real.

I believe in fear. I've experienced it and I didn't use all of my 5 senses to experience it.
As far as evolution...that is a different subject all together. I haven't evolved from anything.
You say you have...what were you before you were what you are right now?? A younger, smaller you...that is as far as evolution goes. We change from small humans into larger ones.
We don't change from primordial soup into humans...sorry.
