The bible verse you give is a good one......persecution will continue and will get worse...until one day when Jesus returns.... But our suffering now will seem small when we see the glory of heaven..... God Bless you and thanks for the question... I think it's less Christians being persecuted than it is Christians loving to feel like martyrs. Plus everyone has so much time on their hands and anyone can put their opinion all over the internet or other places so you get to see more of the anti religion thing. And it isn't the end times, there have been "signs of the end times" since some one decided that we were all going to die some day.
Like one person said, history repeats itself over and over and over and everyone likes to act like they're the only person that it's ever happened to. The Christian/conservatives practically own America, I don't see any reason to complain. Just don't start burning heretics.

Christians are being 'persecuted'? There are more Christians than any other single religion on the planet. They number in the billions. They are in no danger I assure you, unless you consider 'danger' being thought of as obsolete.
