I'm running Windows Media player, but I don't want the pause between songs. Is there another player that wont pause or is there a way to configure one so that there isn't a pause?

I have Windows Media Player and I don't have a pause... I set mine to have a crossfade between songs, but I don't think it had a pause even before I set up a crossfade. Is it an older version? I'm using 10

I'm not sure I totally understand your problem but the "lead-in" and "lead-out" for each song may be your problem, especially if these are CD's someone made or songs ripped by who knows who. This is a common problem on peer to peer shared files.

I use Microsoft Media Player 9, 10, and 11 on my home PC's and have no problems like you are describing on professionally created CD's.
