Yes. One that holds money. No I am not kidding. Get a nice card that holds money and put CASH into it, not a check. Write a sincere note of appreciation for what the person or group did. You will be remembered.

I think if you got a basic thank you note that was blank on the inside would be nice. You could then personalize to each vendor you want to give a thank you note to and highlight which thing in particular you liked that they did. I think hand writing is much more personal than a basic store bought card with it already written in for you.

Your pastor is not a vendor. They are an honored guest. You send them an invitation just like all your others guests, and invite them to your reception along with their partner (if any).
For your actual vendors, I don't know why you would thank them with a card specifically-- they are hired help-- they are not really doing you a gift or favor, it's their job. If you really want to thank them for going above and beyond, you can just use any type of notepaper to write your note of thanks. Writing your own thank you letters is actually better manners than buying greeting cards.

Use the standard thank you card place a tip and a note of special thanks within the card...
It is also appreciated if you send a photograph to each vendor..
cake - cake maker
hall- decorator
meal plate- caterer
couple with the official- official
etc.
They can add these photographs to their portfolios along with your note of thanks to show potential new customers... Many vendors will give you a rebate on the services etc. by sending you a small portion of the price you payed for the photographs and thank yous you sent with authorization to use in their portfolio...

A lot of people send a photo and a sort of thank you note/testimonial letter - something that the vendor can save and use for future reference. I have noticed that if these photos and letters are nice, vendors use them are references and examples of their work for future clients on their websites, etc.

If you want to make that good impression and show that you are pleased with their services you send a thanks card to all the persons involved in the success of your wedding, the tip is up to you but is not really necessary if you are saying thanks to all the departments and vendors involved in your wedding to be fair.

Some bridal stores carry special cards for vendors that also hold their check or money for them. I would say call some bridal stores and ask if they have any.

No special card, but a thank you note would certainly be appreciated. For vendors other than the officiant, they'd probably appreciate a nice testimonial letter even more... something they can use in their marketing.

If you really want it to be special, get them a handmade card (either by you, or a lot of boutique shops carry them now). They will not only remember your thoughtfulness, but the uniqueness of your card.

I would think just a special "thank you" card and an appropriate tip would be fine.
