We now know why the Bush administration hasn't made the capture of Osama bin Laden a paramount goal of the war on terror. Emphasis on bin Laden doesn't fit with the administration's strategy for combating terrorism. So what exactly is this goal?

Here's how President Bush explained this Tuesday: "This thing about . . . let's put 100,000 of our special forces stomping through Pakistan in order to find bin Laden is just simply not the strategy that will work."

so what exactly will work, what is our "end state", how will we win, and when can we bring our troops home to protect our Nation? There are at present Zero brigades that are mission ready.

If what I know, is not really what I know, I don’t thing I could know it, so what does it matter!

Bush is only the face of your empire, North American fellows, “official” terrorism with economic restrictions and military presence all over the world. Osama or the rest are just “un-official” terrorism.

So I don’t thing that “War on Terror” expression is OK. Usually the American dream is the world nightmare. You should remember that more often.

Osama was never the real target in Afganistan just as WMD were never the real target in Iraq. Start with the history of WWI, concentrating on how the US was duped by France and England
into entering the war. Then look into why the Turqs allied with Germany. Then you get into the real role of "Laurence of Arabia".
This will give you the background you need to see why it is convenient for Osama not to be captured or killed. It is complicated but something every member of "the free world" should look into.
As for the "end state", we will have troops in the areas of the world's major oil reserves from now until the day fossil fuels are replaced.
The way to make the bridges and everything else safe is to:
"Bring the troops home, send the politicians".

C'mon people ...think. There are multiple enemies in this war against the Islamic Fascists.

Osama Bin Laden is hiding in a hostile area. As the Americans have learned in Baghdad, and the Israelis in southern Lebanon, it is not easy to use commandos and specially trained anti-terrorist forces to quickly defeat insurgents who know that time is on their side and that any death — enemy or friend, civilian or combatant — advances their cause. It is much easier to cut off someone's head, blow up a bunch of kids who are gathering around american forces for candy, or attack both Sunni and Shia mosques (Al Quaeda) to create mayhem than to prevent this thuggery. Especially when the general suffering of the people is blamed on the prosperous Western crusader and so aids the cause of the terrorist. This is going to be a long war.

Of course, we could always seek to appease the Islamic Fascists and, taking a page from history, leave the Middle East and declare peace. I'm sure that the Islamic Fascists will leave us alone.

Think people. I'm a Demo and didn't vote for the Prez...but, at least I can think rationally and recognize that we are in a war to defend our culture.

Think!

Pakistan wants Osama caught too. Did you also hear President say that Osama tried to have Pakistan's head guy killed also?

We still have a ton of people in Afghanistan. There are probably people floating around in other countries that nobody has any idea.

And thery wouldn't tell us that. That's why they are called covert ops.

He's not giving up on Osama. and it's not about oil. Just cause he's from Texas? Puhlease.

Listen to grognd.
