Try local antique stores, flea markets, yard sales, on line, etc...
Then when you look at a piece, make sure that the "vintage" isn't a replica. Many people have jewelry that they call vintage, but it's just a style reference. It has nothing to do with the age of the piece.
Depending on whether you want costume or fine, you might expect to pay a bit more for older jewelry. Set a limit on want you want to spend, then see what's available.

Take a look at www.1928.com.
They have some really nice vintage looking jewelry that doesn't cost a whole lot, but still looks really nice. Their whole line is vintage inspired and comes in a wide range of colors.

How much are you looking to spend? There are some beautiful vintage necklaces on these sites.
You can also try ebay, jewelry stores, and estate sales (estate would probably be your best bet). Good luck!

Try ebay. "Vintage" is often mistaken for just old and you can get a good deal.
Just beware of ads that could be passing something off as something different... If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

I think if the jewelery rock is blue, depending on what you are to her. If its blue its a different minearal and stands for something that might not be her symbol.

Go to an antique store, an antique mall. Something will strike you in one of their jewelry cases.
