I thought it was ascii art, and it is, but i cant do a specific search for them. How do we call it? and what should i search for if i want to search for similar designs?

Some of you just think to reply just to get the points. The 1st and 3rd answer is so dumb.Do u think that i dont know how to insert a symbol, or what are fonts?? If you are not intelligent enough to understand the question, just do a favor, dont post nonsense answers!!

I think ascii art is more if characters together form a drawing of something... (but I'm not sure)

general info about ascii art:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASCII_art

examples:
http://www.typorganism.com
http://www.chris.com/ascii
http://www.ascii-art.de

but I suppose you need the ones to put before and after a title...

http://www.mirc-colors.com (a bit lame, but you can see some useable things here)

Maybe you can use your own imagination to make some decoration with characters yourself? Or contact someone who' s into making asciiart (see the links above)...

A totally other solution: go to http://www.dafont.com
you will find nice fonts there with some extra shapes, especially checkout 'Dingbats, Shapes'

I hope I helped you a little...

The term "character set" may also prove useful in your search.

ASCII is just one set of 128 characters, amongst many.

The common denominator of all modern character sets like the ones from ISO 8859 is the very successful American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII, /'æski:/) which was published thirty years ago in 1968 as ANSI X3.4
