Support the border fence and sincere, thorough, effective and well-reasoned immigration enforcement. Don't get drawn into a fight, just use your ballot effectively. The sooner the border fence is completed, ALL 2,000 miles of it, which will be ours for the low, low price of 1 stealth bomber, the sooner the ICE can do a better job of dealing with the problem. Jobsite enforcement is important too, there's an ICE hotline, write to your city council on the issue,
focus on supporting well-regulated legal immigration, and sanctions against employers/real estaters and bankers that break the law.
Mexico is a lawless place, where might makes right, and the majority are subjugated by a well armed, well monied minority.
Leading by example, exercising vox populi over special interests etc. in our country will be a great chance for Mexico to learn about democracy first-hand. We, The People run our country,
at least in part, and problem cities where crime and drugs etc have been tolerated to the detriment of the well-being and quality of life of bona-fide american citizens CAN be cleaned up and made safer, but ONLY through lawful citizen participation.
Support your local law enforcement, the People are part of the police dept., volunteer in your community, pick up trash when you see it, and keep those letters pouring in to the city council office until they decide there's enough public support to take the issue forward to the state representatives, and thus on to Washington. There's a time for public acceptance, and there's a time to take to the podium and make yourself heard. We ARE a diverse nation, but also a diverse nation that's headed for bankruptcy unless our representation starts listening and making better decisions.
If you want to live in an english-speaking, law-abiding, economically self-supporting, independent country, be sure to express same to your representation. Garbage in, garbage out, if the only reason people write to them is to ask for money, they will turn a deaf ear to the public. But, if you have some thoughtful,
insightful and potentially effective suggestions, and repeat them often enough, maybe that will be listened to above all the cacophony.
Mexico has its' own domestic problems, that it needs to take responsibility for, and take issue with, and solve. The answers are not so far-fetched, but what is lacking is effective initiative on their part to accomplish that. Their people are ignorant, there is insufficient industry or other economic activity to support their citizens, and they need to make amends for all that, and cease to be a burden on the United States. What WE need to do to 'help' with that, is support our state leadership in their struggle to return to a position of actively listening to the voters, and not the owners of some fruit-packing plant etc. We can, should, and will have our economy running successfully and independently
of countries like Mexico, but to do that takes public support, and reforms.
We have laws, standards, and ethics in the United States, it's time we started living up to some of them, and putting an end to some of the things that are progressively dragging our country towards ultimate bankruptcy. Kennedy once said 'ask not', well I say 'DO something', as in 'do something positive', work with neighbors to keep the streetlights repaired, the junk cars hauled away, the garbage picked up, graffiti cleaned up, enforce vagrancy and loitering laws. If you know of an employer that actively hires illegal aliens, write them a letter protesting the practice.
There's 50 states in the Union, and 280+ million legal citizens that we know of. I don't know how many of that total vote, but it's a fair bet that if the immigration issue were put to a public vote, the answer to the illegals would be a resounding 'NO', that 'no' coming loudest from those that went through all the trouble to emigrate to our country legally to begin with.
Keep a cool head, study the issue thoroughly, as there are a lot of aspects of it that don't readily manifest themselves, it's a complex issue.
Support the US Border Patrol!

Evidence? Well, let's start with two illegal Hispanics who lived down the street from me. They went into a building where a local merchant was working on his new restaurant. They bludgeoned him to death, stole the money he had with him, stole his keys and stole his van to escape. They were found several states away where they were picked up for ANOTHER brutal crime. And when they were brought back here, they had other charges of assault with a knife waiting too. And last week an illegal Mexican hit a car with his truck and...guess what? Hit and run. All in our little town and I could go on and on about the fights, the drunks, the knives, the guns. BUT everyone already knows about this if they have them anywhere around their community.

I live in Arizona and there have been no Mexican flags raised above the US flag here.I do see lots of vehicles with a small Mexican flag decal. But nothing saying anything about piss on any one except the ford and Chevy decals people love to have on their trucks.I also see other country flag decals on other cars,no big deal.
I have never been disrespected by illegals even when caught on my land and held for police or immigration.I speak Spanish so I talk to them as humans and they respond in kind.I live 30 miles out in the desert so I don't come in contact with many urban illegals on a daily basis. But when I have ,I don't feel animosity.
I am against illegal immigration of any one from any country.I have sponsored many people from Mexico, enabling them to obtain permanent residency and
will do so again ,but I will not allow anyone that is illegal to work for me.I think you may be over reacting and looking for problems that aren't there, but you have a right to your own way of doing things. We may desire the same thing we are just on different levels of our way of expressing them.No amnesty
Interesting link to MS 13 thank you

For those that don't think illegal immigration is a problem here are some facts for ya.
FACT: MS 13 is an illegal crime organization that is destroying our nation.
FACT: Social security is going down the drain because of Illegal immigrants abusing the system.
FACT: Hospitals are going bankrupt in the lower 50 because of illegals flooding them and not paying the bills.
Those are just some quick facts, those that say illegal immigration is not a problem, read those stories. Oh, and for those that say it was our country first I say this: You lost the war, the U.S. Government even paid you for your land when you lost. California was captured by a drunken crew of sailors when the capitol was Monterrey. We need to secure our borders to make sure we keep criminal activity out and secure our financial future and make sure that those who pay taxes are taken care of when they retire.

They have a tendency to circle the wagons, and defend their own to the death. Notice how they ask us to not judge this woman as racist, "we must see the whole video".Racism is liberalism's last holdout, they must retain control of the word, and keep throwing it at us like fecal matter from their mouths. Why now are they so concerned with thorough investigations, before reaching conclusions? Is her statement taken out of context? Is it even possible that there is such a thing as blacks being racist? From the hypocritical lefts point of view only white conservatives can be racist.

I think that anyone driving a vehicle with that sort of bumper sticker or stickers in their windows should be able to be legally pulled over by the police or INS to be checked for their residency status. If found to be illegal, prosecute fully and deport and/or incarcerate and confiscate all property, including that "brand new, black expedition SUV" and then deport. The government is able to confiscate ALL property that was obtained through illegal means, such as by dealing in drugs, and so they should also be able to confiscate ALL property obtained by illegal immigrants through illegally being in this country. Take everything but the clothes on their backs and send them back.

I also live in Arizona and agree with kats.. who by the way is anti amnesty and I am pro.. but she is always intelligent and fair. I have never seen the things you describe, most of the Mexicans I live around have American flags on the cars, as a matter of fact I was shocked to see the lack of flags on American cars on Sept 11, mine has never been off, and there were no American flags flown on that day in my neighborhood but mine.

Your country deserves being made fun of if you can't take a joke, or a political statement for what it is. What next? Goose stepping storm troopers arresting people who don't agree with what ever YOU and your kind think? America is supposed to be the land of free speech. Apparently you don't think it should be allowed! And by the way, I'm not American, so don't bother calling me names Itspeople like you who are slowly eroding the rights of others throughout the world.
