grooming can get very expensive depends where you go. if you go to a place like pet ville its alot cheaper. i have 2 chihuahuas and they are easy to groom, i do it my self. but my neighbor has a dog that she grooms once a month and pays around 75.00 everytime.

Try grooming your dog yourself first. It's not that hard (unless you are grooming for a dog show and you have a breed that requires a specific cut). Most dogs only need to be washed, dried and a small amount of trimming. For me, the hardest thing to do is trim their nails (they hate it). Otherwise, our dogs are pretty cooperative about it.
It also gives you and your dog an opportunity to bond together. If you're unable to, or if it's still too difficult for you, look for a groomer. Prices vary, based on the services you need, the size of the dog and the area you live.

I have a Cocker Spaniel and a Chihuahua and I groom them myself because it doesn't cost that much to go out and buy doggy shampoo and a brush, when I could be paying a groomers fee over and over again.

I have collies and they cost between $65-$75 to get them groomed, at least three times during the summer. I do have mine body clipped. For regular grooming, you could probably have it done for $25-$35.

my dog is only $28. but I also leave a 10 dollar tip because he should cost alot more than that.I have a terrier mix he is about 50 pounds .They dont charge by size they charge by the type of fur like a golden is at least $45 to $50 and a lasa apso is around $38.some fur is just harder to cut.It also depends on your groomer too.

None, I do it myself. Well, I buy shampoo and a doggie brush, but other than that, it is free. Clipping nails is kinda tough though... sometimes we need to go to the vet. Also, we buy toothpaste kits at Petsmart and brush their little teeth ourselves. By ourselves I mean I brush their teeth and hubby watches TV.

I live in Northern Ontario and have a soft-coated Irish Wheaton Terrier. I pay $40.00 for shampoo, cut and nails (just a terrier cut--not a formal 'Wheaton cut'.
