if you can put it in a bun it's too long. It's not going to look good not matter what you do. Curl will fall out. Straight just looks stringy. See a stylist that can give you a good shorter cut that works well with your features. A little below chin length is probably as long as you should go, but shorter hairstyles are best for fine hair.

I searched for a good answer for you, and found one while looking at your avatar. I has not one ponytail (which you disqualified as an acceptable answer) but two ponytails.
Also, there is a hairdo that was popular years ago but I can't remember the name of it. It's an up do, with the hair pulled up toward the top of the head (not the crown). The hair ends at the top of the head I think were either curled or made into a small bun. From the temple area on each side of the head, a small curl would dangle in front of each ear. Sometimes small curls would be made to dangle around the nape also. It think it might (initially anyway) take more than 5 minutes to do though.

Same problem here. If your hair is long enough to wear in a bun than having thin hair only aggravates the situation!(lol) I hate to say it but the best thing is to have some layers cut in. The layers will take the weight out of your hair and give it some body. My shortest layer is chin length and it is still long enough to pull back if I need to. You will have a lot more diversity with styling.
Good Luck!

Hmm well probably the only thing you can do in under 5 minutes is scrunch it. What you do is after you get out of the shower with wet hair add mouse to it, bend over and grab your hair and scrunch it up to the scalp. Just grab it and push it up over and over and then put it in a high bun for a few minutes take it out and it will have those flirtatious locks that are gorgeous and fun! Good luck

Yes, try braiding your hair. You should also probably leave it down at least two days a week, wearing your hair up can make it so the circulation in your head can stop flowing as good, and that can make your hair thinner.

You could try scrunching it, pulling half back into a ponytail, braiding it the night before and taking it out in the morning leaves it wavy, crimp it.....there's lots of things you can do

my hair is a little thin and i got it layered around my face, about shoulder length, and its parted slightly to the side. It doesn't really tangle unless i'm really busy doing something or running around. Also, have you thought about curling it? I hope that helped! ^-^

You know babe I for one like women who just take care of themselves so when you wear your bun on your head is the meat under it fresh or rotten?
