Being as your the owner you should notice if you dog is in any distress, the whelping process usually takes between an hour - 4 depending on the dogs whelping experience and how many pups she is expecting.
if you dog appears in distress or you believe her to have more puppies than she has actually birthed make sure you get her to vets ASAP, this also applies to the fact if you dog is taking a long time or more than 24hrs.
Staffs have a problem just as bulldogs and various other breeds can.
Staffs have rather big heads, the large cranium of an unborn pup may be too big to come through the b!tches vulva.
if you think anything isn't going as smoothly as it should call your local vet or animal hospital.
they will tell you where to go from there

This can be how Long is a piece of string type question. They could have them every half hour or they could have 2 in 15 mins then wait an hour they could pop out half a litter then rest 4 hours then have the rest. All you can do is sit and watch and wait, she will seem to settle and stop scratching and turning and of course pushing if she thinks she is finishing, then gently put one hand under the tummy and the other on top and give a short but gentle nudge and if there are more puppies you will feel them against the underneath hand. So then wait and if there are no signs of a pup in the next hour ring the vet for advise he will examine the b itch and if the puppies are in the correct position he will give her a dose of oxetocin, if the pup is across the horns of the uterus he will have to do a Cesarean section. Don't wait to long this could kill the pups and exhaust your b itch.

Good luck to you and your b itch.
