No - sex isn't a competition after all. As long as both participants are doing it because they really want to, then when you do it isn't very important.
Doing it on the first date is, after all, much better than wanting to do it, but holding back for some silly concept of rectitude or respect. If a guy wouldn't respect you for doing it on the first date, then he shouldn't be doing it on the first date himself.
If the guy won't respect a women who does it as quickly as he would, then he's a hypocritical loser - plain and simple - and not worth talking to, let alone dating or sleeping with...

Respect is usually determined by the prevailing social and morals of the day.

Lets say, where both parties have enjoined for the same cause with equal intent, loss or lack of loss of respect would be probable to the extent that it is imposed by the greater influence.

Such as society, code of conduct, culture, tradition, any other influencing factor you think is applicable. Such as where commonly practised in certain tribal groups, it is acceptable, whereas the tribal group, known as English Victorians, would most likely find it unpalatable.

So the question to the question would then lead to the segment of society and culture hailed from and the likelyhood of being influenced.

That depends on the circumstances. My fiancee & I met & fell in love online, and we slept together on our first face-to-face meeting before we even had an actual date, but we were already in love so we're not kicking ourselves for it. That was two years ago and we're still in love, and still sleeping together.

But for a casual date? Nope. I wouldn't have any respect for either of us if we weren't serious about our relationship. Sex shouldn't be committed so casually, in my opinion.

Why do men ask each other this question???? You ask for something, you enjoy it and then you question your respect for the woman with whom you were intimate. It makes no sense. I'm really curious about this . Honest. Try seeing this from a woman's point of view. It is ,indeed, a very strange world. (As if women didn't have enough on their plate.)

Depends on the guy; if he's a player, no. he never had respect for you in the first place.
If he's fallen in love with you at first sight, then no, maybe not, if you can convince him you're not promiscuous.
But you can expect him to come back for more, respect or not!

Personally, I didn't lose respect for my wife. I think its absolutely ridiculous for guys to do so, since they done the same thing the girl did. Do they lose respect for themselves also?

Is the guy sleeping with you on the first date, too? Then what the hell is the difference? If he doesn't have anything to do with you afterwards, then that's all he wanted to begin with.

I would not. It's stupid to think that way. she deserves the same respect that you want. If it's sex to you why would it not be sex to her.It does still take two to have sex, and it's impossible to lessen one person over the other.
people who think that way are outdated ignorant sobs who do not deserve dates or women.
It no more degrades a woman to have sex than a man, and not even than as sex is a part of human life, nature, and neccessary.
