its changed how we view ourselves and our place in the cosmos. We are insignificant compared to all the rest of "it".

No longer are we "special"; yet here we are a triumph of survival. A product of natural selection.

If we were created by God it would be special. The fact is, we are a fumbled football that had to fight to make it.

No, but to a large extent it's made atheism possible. It seems to me that before the theory of evolution, there were too many unanswered questions for anybody but a fringe to say 'there is no God' - that's why you had deism and non-theism.

It's been recent advances in biology and cosmology that show not only is it possible but probable that we got here without God.

Darwin is of limited relevance these days to anyone but religionists who like to make straw men out of his teachings.

no we always new darwin is right the same as we no that religion is a lie con it is just mind control for christians

I was already familiar with evolutionary biology when I gave up christianity for atheism, so it couldnt "bend" my perception.
