You'll probably need to format your computer to remove all traces of Vista before reinstalling XP. The WinXP setup CD allows you to do this as part of the installation process.

There should be an uninstall option with Vista Beta. You will then need your XP cds to reinstall.

Microsoft has a now free progam called VirtualPC. It gives you a virtual environmental that you can install an operating system into and not destroy the one you are working with.

That is how I have been working with Vista.
