Me, I hope my questions will be answered and my soul given peace, because that's what you're left with after bodily death and what bothers me most about existence.

Anybody else have something they think will be / resolved / changed about themselves, if and when?

Fanatics and athiests can let themselves out the back door; I'm not looking for extreme opinions today...

Hey Bonzo, which do you think's going to last longer, your grouch-infested life or eternity? It's only natural to wonder about things like that, so go jump in a lake - pal.

I'd like to think that I will get to see my husband and father again. I miss them both terribly even after the years that have passed since they left this life.

Sorry that you don't want any atheists responding, but I consider myself more agnostic for the most part, so I'm going to post anyway.

Because I don't believe what you believe doesn't mean that I have to ridicule your ideas or try to foist my beliefs on you. I just wanted to answer your question.

I am not able to understand the idea of an afterlife, because I use my body to understand everything, and when I die, my body will be of no more use to me. I can't understand the concept of "seeing" my loved ones again because my eyes will be rotting in my body on Earth. So, for me, it is difficult to look forward to anything specific in the unknown that is death, because I don't have any idea what death brings.

That said, I don't believe in reincarnation, either, so I can't look forward to trying all of this again. Although, I admit that the thought of just burning out like a light bulb and being gone into nothingness forever is less than joyous.

I may not believe in your God, but I hope you're right and I'm wrong about it.

"i think like Islam makes the international appear like an exceedingly undesirable place, and how we ought to continually in hassle-free terms be excited with regard to the afterlife." it is fake. The Prophet (many circumstances) suggested socializing and not putting apart your self, smiling (that is even a sunnah), guffawing, searching for expertise, traveling, and different enticing activities are suggested. particular, the afterlife is significant, yet no the place does Islam say to fullyyt prioritize the afterlife. those are basically your guy or woman preconceived notions, not Islam in keeping with se. i will quote a asserting from Muhammad: "the religion (of Islam) is easy. no person ever made it confusing with out it starting to be too plenty for him. So stay away from extremes and strike a stability, do the terrific you could and be pleased, and seek for God's help by way of prayer." (Qtd in Sahih Bukhari)

You can find these things in this life if you strive for them, in fact this is the place to make the changes because you have free will which is the greatest thing for bringing about spiritual growth. You can grow here more in one second with one choice you make to serve others than you can in a hundred years in the afterlife. So forget the afterlife-you live in the here and now so be all you can be. That's why God gave you the gift of life.

A) Being where I was created to be, with the Lord.

B) Surcease from silly questions and hatefilled nonsense since those who remain obstinately ignorant and deliberately contumacious will NOT be with me at Home with the Lord.

C) Meeting my loved ones and knowing that there will be no more partings from them.

D) And most UNChristianly, having the second greatest pleasure known to man (you already know what the first is, so I shan't repeat it here), namely, being able to say to all the atheists, all the fanatics, all the anti-everybodys, (in a sing-song voice), "I told you so, I told you so. Don't forget I told you so."
*slapping hand* shame on me!

Your afterlife depends on consciousness which you develop during you present life. And this is completely up to you. If somebody develops animalistic propensities, they will be given animal's body in their next life. For example, if somebody likes to eat flesh, they can become tiger in their next life. If somebody is very attached to sex, they can become pigeon or monkey and enjoy sex many times a day. If somebody eats nasty things, they can become pig. Or, if somebody likes sleeping too much, they can become bear and sleep all winter long. You can also develop higher qualities and be promoted to the planets of demigods. But if you develop God consciousness in devotional service, you will not have to take another material body, but instead you will be trasferred to the kingdom of God after leaving your body and you will enjoy an eternal life, full of knowledge and full of bliss. It is not at all very difficult to develop God consciousness, and if you are interested I can tell you more.
As far as I am concerned, I hope to become pure devotee of the Lord and enter the spiritual kingdom after leaving the present body. I can share with you everything I do to achieve it, if you are interested.

I hope to have completely freedom. I don't want to be a slave of my body, eg. suffering from sickness, feeling uncomfortable, waisting time to fulfill the meaningless desires. I hope to join a group of people with perfect characters. That is no greediness, jealousy, anger etc. I hope to reunion with my friends & relatives already pass away. I hope I can have power to protect my relatives still alive in the human world.

Getting to live and work with NICE people for a change. No atheists or agnostics whining anymore, and no child molesters, thieves, or other undesireables causing problems. Just nice, long walks and talks with the Creator.
