Well are you going to talk to those who are in tanning beds? or have high cholesterol? or don't walk enough? or live with someone that smokes? Where to draw the line....
I personallly don't think that committing suicide is a straight to hell ticket. Not being saved by the blood of Jesus is though.
Does it mean that every soldier that is saved and throws themself in the way of a bullet or grenade goes to hell?
There is no greater love than someone who would lay down his life for a friend.

Ah yes, smoking is slow suicide, but so is overeating, or drinking of alcohol, or using illegal drugs.
So I agree that smoking is bad, but it's not the only bad thing that some people do. A fat person who smokes might well die from a heart attack brought on his weight, rather than from the result of smoking.

We can sit and play the "what if" game all day. When you are born, there is nothing more sure than....you will die. Some people have occupations that put them at risk. Some people over eat which may cause heath conditions. Does this mean that they are all slowly attempting suicide? Once born, we are all on the time line to death. Religion is man made, designed to elicit social control and serve man's thirst for power. Release yourself from proving your piety to others and be free.

Smoking is nasty no matter what religion you are. There are a thousand things in this world that will kill you over time, including junk food and watching too much tv.
If you gotta kill yourself, do you have to do it in a big cloud of vapor that smells like feet? Leave the rest of us alone.

The Christians that smoke were doing it before they became Christians..You have no idea what it's like to break an addiction. I teach Freedom From Smoking classes for churches just for that purpose.

I don't smoke.
I just like the way Morticia Addams does in that old TV show, 'The Addams Family'. That was a hoot!
She asks, "Do you mind if I smoke?" And then she does! Without a cigarette! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

I do smoke and I believe God will take me however he wants. Whether it be from one too many cigarettes, car crash or whatever...it's His choice.
