The mix of a German Shepherd and Collie is very smart. The Shepherd and the Collie have the highest level of intelligence and obedience. They are the two most common breeds trained for the most difficult task of being used (as seeing eye dogs) by the blind.
"The Family Dog"
The family's dog was bought for a guard,
Chained to a post in a chilly backyard,
Housed in a shed that was airless and dark,
And every few weeks had a run in the park.
When boredom set in with no fun and no work,

personal opinion? Rottweilers. i have were given 4 and that i comic tale that their nicknames might want to all be coaching H because 9 circumstances out of 10 they are 'up my butt' having to be the position ever i'm - I consistently recognize the position they are because they are consistently with me! large canines, nicely mannered, very wise, dependable and extremely human beings orientated... yet ANY canines breed can meet those 'criteria' if acceptable raised and experienced - from a teacup Chihuahua to a Mastiff and each and every thing in between!

I think that the German Shepared is 1, and poodle is 2 and the Lab is 3. Good luck finding out!

All dogs are smart, but I've heard that Labradors are really good at learning tricks and very obedient.

they are all smart. I had a few and it's funny but my smallest dog : Yorkshier Terrier is the smartest.
He is a genious.
He is a high blood pressure dog.
When your blood pressure goes up he jumps on your chest and starts kissing you until you calm down. He understands everyhing you tell him.

Boarder Collies by far are the smartest, followed closely by all terrier breeds. Smart and stubborn are terriers.

There realy is no smartest breed/mix. It is all in the socialization and training the owner wants to put in to the dog.
