I dyed my hair light brown, but it came out darker then it should have, more like a medium brown. I'm going to wait a few weeks for it to wash out since its not a permanent dye, but I want to go to the salon and get it dyed and highlighted. I have dark greenish almost grey eyes, fairly tan skin and my hair is almost to my shoulders. I dont know what would look good, but I'm tired of the dark one shade color. Any ideas?

If I went to the salon, would they be good in helping me decide what would look best?

The salon will help you find the color and they have hair samples in different shades that you can hold against your skin to find the most flattering. Even after you find the right color the stylist should be able to tell just what it will take to get your type of hair that color. Make sure they know what your natural color is and everything you've done to it. More than one color can really be a big help because hair that it completely all one color will almost always look a little fake.
