Why is it that the average Christian treats anyone that actually analyzes GOD, the Bible, Jesus, or the Biblical religions (instead of just blindly following) like the lowest form of life?
I just asked a question that (to paraphrase) simply asks if people that claim to be Christians would still want to be if it weren't for that pound of candy that all those Preachers promise them and some Jackass tells me that the Devil must be talking through me.
The point of that question was to show that many people that claim to be Christian are only Christians because they expect some kind of compensation for it. With a question like this, it is irrelevant whether or not those rewards actually exist. All that matters is "Are you doing what GOD asked of you because it's the right thing to do, or because you expect to get paid for it?". If you claim to be a Christian, but you wouldn't be one if you didn't get a fat check for it would mean you're not a Christian.
Where's the Devil in that?

They don't like to have their beliefs challenged. Period.
Anytime that they don't have an answer, they claim that the devil has inspired the other person to attack them. Watch some religious TV shows on Sunday and you will hear all about it -- particularly when the preachers start to spout off about liberals.
Or, watch Pat Robertson anytime -- same thing.

1. There is nothing wrong with analyzing God, the Bible, Jesus or Biblical religions if you are doing it sincerely.
2. Many Christians DO follow God for the reward in it. That is human nature. Followers of other religions also follow them for what they perceive as the "reward" in those as well.
3. It really doesn't matter if one searches for God for the wrong motives. When a person truly gets to know God, and seeks after Him with all their hearts, then their human hearts are changed, into what God wants them to be. It doesn't happen overnight, even though some people are changed dramatically in a short time. No one is perfect. You should not expect perfection from human beings. A person can be a Christian whether their journey started from wrong motives or not.
4. Friendship with God has extraordinary benefits. I'm talking about the Living God, Creator of the Universe. Why would someone refuse the benefits of having the most Powerful Friend in the Universe?

I am not a christian, but I will put in my two cents anyways if you do not mind.
I agree that a lot of people follow a faith for the reward, in this case heaven verses hell. If you believe in God and Christianity because you do not want to burn in the eternal fires of hell, you are still in a religion for a reward.
Religion should be something you believe is true and is the right path for you, you should not have to justify tour choices, nor is it necessary to try and convert others, God did give us free choice after all.
I agree that some religious people feel that anyone who is not on their path is ignorant. I understand why the asker used average as a description, no one truly knows the average of anything, we can only judge on the "average" in our experience, and in his experience the average christian is someone who preaches to him that he is going to hell for his sins and he is stupid for not accepting God and the Bible as truth.
Also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with analyzing anything, including religions and God(s), if the God(s) did not want us to do so why would we be able to? What respecting God wants a bunch of sheep to follow them?

We dont treat you like that but you non believers ae the ones who treat us like we are some HOLY ROLLERS when we thank God for the rain. If you dont want to believe in GOD.... that is FINE....if you dont want to accept Jesus Christ....that is FINE, but please take heed that if you dont make a choice, a choice has been made for you....It's that simple. And doing the right thing because I expect to get paid for it? Why wouldnt anyone want to do right by people? Regardless of what you believe... I tell you the whole world is out of control....

God can not be " analized"
The Bible of The Christian Faith is not intended for those not of The Faith... You can read and study it all you want and you will never find The Truth in it... this is not intended as a putdown of you or any other... it is simply a fact...
Your obeservation of those who are only claiming to be "christian" for what is in it for them is acurate. There are a lot of those.... and, unfortunatly there are many who genuinly believe they are Christians and that their place in Heaven is assured... and they are deceived...There are far more who think they are, or pretend to be, or the world thinks of them as.... than actualy are of The True Christian Faith.
Those of The True Christian Faith are not "in it for themseves". No one can just say they are a christian. No man can decree anyone to be a christian. No doctrin or dogma of man can make any one a christian. There is not a physical act or ritual or work that can earn anyone a place in the ranks of The Christians.
Only those who come to God in The Way He proscribes and receive his free gift of Salvation are of The Church. Those of TheTrue Christian Faith are The Body of The Church. And only those of The Church of Which Jesus The Christ is The Head will enter Heaven.

I do my suitable to recent the actuality of the Gospel of Christ Jesus, if that offends, oh nicely. i could extremely you be offended by using the actuality, then suckered right into a lie by using those fake instructors and preachers. it's time to get out of the Harlot noted as Babylon (All prepared faith) and are available to the actuality of Christ Jesus, by using the Holy Spirit.

interesting question
anyway you don't do it because it's the right thing to do. If you going to do something right, it must be whole heartedly not because it's the right thing to do, then your righteousness is corrupt if you do it, God weighs the heart. Don't do something you don't feel like doing. You don't obey God because you can get a reward. You do it because you love God. You don't please someone because you get anything in return. You please someone because you love that person. That person is God
I don't obey God so that I get a Fat check! I don't have a fat check but I obey God! The reason I got my job it's beacuse he loves me not because I did something right. I don't love God beacuse he gave me something I love him beacuse I simply choose to love him. He understand me when no one did. He showed what is unconditional love. So whatever good he tells me to do, I do it!
Being obedient to God doesn't make me a rich person in a sense of money and material wealth. I'm rich in sense of enlightenment or wisdom
