Well as i said b4, im an Australian and Australias Pretty young(105 years since Federation) and we havent made many enemies(were working on it, all our enemies it wasnt our fault to begin with, were just blind sheep :P)
But America isnt much older(100+ years i believe) and why are they the main target, i would have thought England, Germany and France would be due to all their involvement with the Middle East back since the crusades. Is it their military might or their economic prowess that makes them the target?(im guessing its the Foreign Policy that interferes too much with other countries, and the military might that they cant fight back)Please Enlighten me.
(as of my knowledge i woulda put it down to the crusades and putting israel in the middle of a Muslim/Islam world)

I do apologise to Muslims for being targeted but this is usually the norm. But im talking about the stereotypical Muslim/Arab/Islamist person with a grudge against America.

I woudlnt blame their backwardness on them being backwardness, i woulda actually blamed it on the Interference of Christian States in the Crusades.(Back in those times apparently Arabs were on the Forefront of Astrology, Mathamatics etc), and us Chrisitian states came along and messed it up.
Also I read up on that Communist Domino Theory, and from what i read it doesnt sound too good.(thats why we went to war in Vietnam/Korea), but it was on the Defending Countries Request that we came to their aid, so you are not morally wrong. Yet your getting targeted :(

They think that the US is controlling the Muslim countries and influencing Muslims to embrace Western ways which is almost all against their religion.

I do not profess to know any more than you do, but I am ALWAYS willing to give you my OPINION. You Aussies have been friends of the USA for many years and no nation has had any better friends although the UK has also been our good friends. I THINK that the grudge that Muslims have against the USA is also the grudge they have against other christian (basically) nations. It just happens that, at this moment, the USA is the easiest to create hatred against for the ultimate goal of dividing and conquering. The grudge is Christianity or any other religion other than Islam. That may sound wacko, but it is still what I believe. Thanks for asking. Good question.

The terrorists have targeted Spain, England, France, Italy, North Africa and many other places. Their gripe doesn't seem to be with just the United States - their gripe is with infidels all over the world,
One reason that the United States makes them uglier is because we recognize Israel's right to be a sovereign nation.
Their ultimate plan is a one world government under Islamic Law - without any infidels, of course.
The parallels between the Nazis of WWII and the Islamic Fundamentalist's plans of world domination are very alarming.

In fact, it stems from the Cold War conflict. The American Government had some crazy Domino Effect theory that drove them to support... well, anti-communist factions inside other countries. This included many countries in the middle east.
They feared that if one country would fall under a communist regime, its neighbours would soon follow. So, they gave guns and training to people who wanted to go off and kill communists.
These included all sorts of warlords and fundamentalists who were ideologically against communism for their own reasons. This created all sorts of problems all over the world, and is the reason why some nations are a bit edgy about the US.

Arab Muslims like to blame their culture's backwardness on others. It is easier to blame someone else than accept responsibility. America is the remaining superpower so to the conspiracy minded Arabs it must be America's fault that they still live in squalor, poverty, and ignorance. It can't be because they don't educate the women in their countries, settle blood-feuds, and believe every conspiracy theory ever uttered.
Even though the Arab counties freely take the billions of dollars from the West for their oil and yet live in poverty, squalor, ignorance.
As an Ameircan I don't much care what a bunch of backward, superstitous, idiots think of my country. I just hope we do a better job of tracking them down and killing the violent ones.

Well this is something that goes deeper than most of us knows. The thing is muslim have been at war with Israel for the last 3-4 milleniums why, you'll have to look at the Bible for that. The arabs, muslim and jews comes from the patriarch Abraham who was the father of Ishmael and Isaac. Isaac is non other than Jacob's father who God change his name to Israel. So the muslims think that by the US supporting Israel they are their enemies too. Who wouldn't thought of your enemies' allies at their enemies too, we have to look both sides of the coins here people, and also the US should not be looking for nothing in the middle-east, come on we can control everything.

I think you should start reading some history. You can start with Iran, when the Shah took power. Who put him in power, why?
What did he do to the Muslim clerics, basically on behalf of the USA?
What really happened in the Middle East when Israel was created? What happened to the palestinian people who lived in today's Israel? How have they been treated by USA's protegee since 1948?
What happened to the water from the Jordan River that supplied
the palestinian farmers?
Those are really the least important factors, but a start

It is in the nature of the tribes that were attracted to Islam to think of the rest of the world as a place to loot, wreck, and convert to their life-hating creed. Trying to tie their resentment to anything we have done to defend ourselves against these Neanderthals is a Western illusion that we can empathize with the way they reach conclusions. The Moslems themselves only bring up Zionism and the Crusades as talking points that they don't really care about but hope we will be convinced by and not realize the fact that they kill us because they are natural killers.

Libya, Iran/Iraq war, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Palestinian conflict-examples of American interference when the end result was thousands of Muslim deaths. Muslims have a sense of grievance because of what they perceive-perhaps wrongly-as US double standards. Muslims are always on the receiving end of the American war machine while Israel is always portrayed as the innocent victim and enjoys US support.
