The simplest and most traditional way is simply to hang them upside down in a shaded and well-ventilated place. I have just stripped the leaves off of the stems and hung the roses by the stem in my bedroom. The roses will likely change color somewhat; red especially tends to darken. But you can get good results this way.
If you want them to look almost as perfect as they did when they were fresh, you will want to dry them in Silica Gel Crystals. You can find this product in any larger craft store. You pour a layer of silica gel crystals into a container with a lid, like a plastic food storage box or a metal cookie tin. Then you add the rose bloom, facing up. Gently pour the crystals over the rose so it is completely covered, then put the lid on the container. The silica gel removes all the moisture from the rose, and in a matter of days, you will have a perfectly preserved rose that has maintained its shape, form, and color.

First be sure to pick them before they are fully open so they don't drop their petals. Then tie them together with the stems and hang upside down. That's for air drying. The Rose Society has other methods as well. See below.

This may sound a little bizzarre -- but I used the microwave. Wrap rose in a paper towel and just zap a few seconds at a time until you get the desired "doneness." They shrivel a little, but not much. Also, works better on tightly formed flowers and buds.

You can hang them on your wall with peice of sring and a tac. They will not stay opened but they will still look pretty nice. I have lucked out that right before they die I dump out the water and leave them in the vase and they dry that way. The only problem is that they sometimes drup over.

I dry mine upside down in a dark closet, hanging them by their stems. The darkness helps them to keep their color and hanging them upside down helps keep shape.
