A pediatrician dealing with newborn infants and those upto one month is called a neonatologist. There is no special ped. for children under 5. A pediatrician does specialisation after finishing medical school. An obstetrician deals with pregnant women and delivers babies. He also specialises after med. school.

No special name for a doctor who prefers working with very young children, but he/she can declare a specialty or advertise as such. Obstetrician delivers babies and takes care of mom while she's pregnant. Usually have an internship and/or residency after medical school that can last up to 8 years, but can be done in less time in some cases.
