i was reading a wiccan web site and there was a word they said that i dont know can you tell me what this word means?

A cowan is one who is not a Wiccan. Just as a Christian may use the word "non-believer" when referring to non-Christians. The word "cowan" isn't used very often and is sometimes seen as offensive.
