Is there a chance of working where you are at, for a company in the country you came from, like a representative of a product or factory, or your own country's embassy?

As others have already said, you must have a social security number to work in the US and must pay into the social security system and pay US taxes whatever your citizenship and status, and whatever the work you want to do. Although you have a US visa, unless it is an H, L, P or O, you would be working illegally.

My understanding is that you need a social security number to work anywhere and pay taxes on any money that you earn while in the USA. Good Luck ! :)

If you don't have a Social Security card and work and get wages, you are working illegally.

If you're here on a visa you can not work unless it is a special kind of work visa. Don't try to work because it is illegal and you will be caught and put into jail.

You are not a US citizen so you will not be collecting Social Security, therefor you do not need an SS card.
