your abs are a muscle man- you gotta work them with weights, like try a hang down rope from a machine and get on your knees, holding the rope on either side of your neck, then alternate bringing your upper body straight down with your abs flexed and then on each side. try on a decline bench holding a weight on your chest. Also do a lot of stretching to fully maximize the range of the muscle.

i have read that using the ball is the best workout that you can do. this came out of a study done by dalhousie university (hs a medical program) i find that doing a variety helps me to build up my stamina. don't forget leg lifts ads they work the lower abdomin which often gets neglected.
