It is so sad that you would give up a life of freedom for the shackles of religious tyranny. And that you have no concept of spelling and grammer in the English language.
As for hell....you are right. It isn't a joke. It's a myth. Big difference. I hope you come to see your mistake and return to the truth.

Sorry buddy. I don't agree with you. First of all, how can an all merciful God send someone to an eternity of torment for the brief years spent on Earth? I would'nt do that to my worst enemy, and yet I'm just human. Seems like the idea of "Hell" is to scare people into joining those particular religions, which you seem that have fallen for.
Many scriptures are symbolic. The word "Hell" comes from an old Germanic word "Heolle." This comes from the word Gehenna. Gehenna was a walled city in biblical days, were a fire was continuously burning outside one wall and was fueled with garbage, coals, and unfortunately, those poor or those criminals that have died. Jesus has made reference to being thrown into Gehenna. Fire is the ultimate destruction and was used as a reference for total destruction in those days. Those ancient people understood this being they were with simple education back then. Basically, death is just that....no conscious, no memories, no feelings. Kind of like a deep sleep. Ones only hope is the resurrection. If not for this, then those not chosen will sleep for eternity. Revelations does mention how "death" and "hell" will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. In other words, God will do away with death and the "deep sleep of hell." People will live forever then.

You were an atheist from age 15 to 18? In a few more years, you will realize what a paltry span of time that is. And it seems to me that you were never actually an atheist, especially if you believed in a god from 0 to 14, drifted away, and then suddenly turned back a few years later.

Hell is a myth, and was first propounded by the Zoroastrians long before Christianity began. It was used by both religions as a means of controlling the people through fear - and it worked!

its good you believe, yes there is a hell, it can get pretty bad here so theres no reason that there isnt a bad place on the other side.might be good for you to read a bible with up to date english translation because although it sounds like nice poetry it makes it easy to obsorb and others to understand.

Show me proof that hell exists and I might consider it. Until then, keep your bible-thumping bigoted suggestions to yourself.
