i rarely get cold soars, but recently i noticed getting them a lot and they spread in my mouth..... :( now im worried i might have somethin. (by the way i NEVER in my life went down on anyone so dont even think about that!)
im thinking of going 2 the doctor, but then again the soars are real small and there's only a few of them......but im still paranoid.
lately i've been under A LOT of stress, so im hoping that might be a reason 4 it. is it possible 2 get cold soars because of stress????

You didn't necessarily catch it from sex, you could have just somehow had contact with someone else who had a cold sore. Stress is definitely a trigger. Whenever I get so stressed out that I get a stomach ache, I know a cold sore is coming. You can definitely go to a doctor if you're getting them frequently, they will give you an effective prescription. Later on, when you're not so stressed and you don't get them as much, you can just use Abreva. Pay attention to the signs before you get them - usually you should feel itching or tingling near the corners of your mouth. As soon as you feel that, use the medicine.
Oral herpes can cause genital herpes through contact (and vice versa.) So don't even think about going down on someone when you have a cold sore (or you think one is coming.) And obviously, be very careful about touching your genitals if you have cold sore. Do not touch the cold sore at all, use cotton swabs to apply the medicine. Good luck!

stress is the #1 cause for sores. There are 3 types of herpes, cold sores are not the gentital type. Gentital herpes can cause sores if you have come into contact, but those would be way gross and puss like. Cold sores are very strange. My friend is surfer and scraped her forehead on coral 5 years ago and now every year when she tans she gets a cold sore in the same spot for like 2 weeks. So, whenever you get stressed these will show up in the same place every time. Just use Medicated Chap Stick and TRY TRY TRY not to play with them or bite them cause that will make it worse. I always get mine on my lower lip on the sides (not corners) right where the canines can grab. I can even make them come without being stressed just by "chewing" on that spot. Try and see if you notice if you bite your lip out of stress or nervousness.

Definitely. I used to get major breakouts prior to final exams so I had a nice mess for my college graduation. Sunlight, poor nutrition etc can also contribute and often when we are stressed we don't eat properly.
Two things you can do. The doctor can give you stuff now that can cut down the break out time drastically and perhaps even prevent the breakouts. Also, make sure you keep your lips moist all the time with an unscented moisturinzer. Lipsticks can actually dry them out more and stuff like blistex can dry out your lips which can make the problem worse.
I use a stick from clinique that gos on under lipstick. It is an anti-drying stick. Since I started using it my cold sores stopped. t is expensive but lasts for many months and is worth it.

Canker sores (aphthous ulcers) are small, painful sores inside the mouth.
You need to consult with your physician and/or dentist...to request a prescription to ease the pain and to enable you to swallow food more comfortably. According to the excerpt below from the 2nd cite below...your medical condition may be contributing to your level of perceived stress.
Anxiety can be caused by a medical disorder or the use or discontinuation of a drug. Examples of medical disorders that may cause anxiety include neurologic disorders, such as a head injury, brain infection, or inner ear disorder; cardiovascular disorders, such as heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias); endocrine disorders, such as an overactive adrenal or thyroid gland; and respiratory disorders, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Even fever can cause anxiety.
Speak with your physician about your concerns, he or she may diagnose both problems...
get well soon.

i don't be attentive to for constructive yet i'm noticeably constructive that chilly sores come on the exterior of you face and cankers come interior your mouth. I knew this lady as quickly as that often had chilly sores and that they might strengthen on the exterior of her face precise on the nook of her lip. I had bumbs on the interior my moth they have been sord of like little cuts and the first practitioner mentioned that they've been canker sores so i do no longer think of which you have the two. pass to the first practitioner and get it appeared at i'm constructive it is not something. it relatively is definately no longer a chilly sore.
