Hi, I'd like to learn ways to increase my logical intelligence. Please don't say reading because I am already more than proficient in that area. I naturally have a sense of creativity, but actual logic is something I really want to work on, because I'm studying to become a doctor and these are the skills I can possibly have trouble with unless I hone them now.

Logic is considered the core of one's thinking. Logic exists when one has a problem (mostly a question) and has a number of solutions to choose.

In order to increase your logical intelligence, one must be able to:
- quickly sum up all possible solutions
- pick the best solution through rapid elimination.

A simple example is when your internet connection does not work. What can be the cause? The Internet Service Provider is not responding? (this happens if you connect, but cannot retrievean IP-address) Are the cables conected? Is something interrupting the wireless internet connection? etc.

By being critical in all day habits and thinking logically, one can increase his intelligence greatly. One can even create problems himself such as when you are thinking how to increase your income or when you wish to buy a gift.

Another way of increasing your logic is by playing logic games such as chess (you calculate all possible moves and eliminate the bad ones), checkers, puzzle games (that involves complex visualization). These games will also increase visualization.

You may want to pick up a book (or perhaps textbook) on critical thinking. They will usually discuss logical arithmetic, logic fallacies, and basically how to think critically. What you can also do is start playing logic puzzles. One such game which has gotten very popular recently is called Sudoku. Kakuro (also known as cross sums) is a similar game that I find challenging & fun.

You could also take up computer programming! :) Although I would not suggest it if you are easiliy frustrated.

You can increase logical thinking with a book on critical thinking.

To learn how to reduce cumbersome text to its logical elements, and to analyze those elements, a book on symbolic logic is the way to go.

You might enjoy the critical thinking book more initially, but working through the book on symbolic logic will have a more pronounced and lasting effect on your logical aptitude.

Getting one book on each would be ideal.
