HI I'm Catholic and I was just reading about what the Pope said about Muslims and it just reminded of how much religions seem to fight eachother for example Christians always tell people of other religions or who don't believe in God that they will go to hell if they don't believe in Jesus teachings or SOME Muslims who belive that if you don't believe in the Prophet Muhameds teachings you are an infidel or practicaly how religions just believe if you don't believe in what they believe you are an idiot why can't we all just get along and respect what other people believe in because all religions really are the same thing we believe in things that haven't been proven true so I don't see how anyone can call ones religion false or say that their religion is better why can't we all just get along?

Centurion have you ever heard of the Crusades that seems like something very bad or during the Spaninsh Civil war the Catholic church supported the Fascist government.

see that's exactly what I'm talking about what Ihan did I belong to the Catholic church and I'm happy but I wish we could all respect each others religions and believes and we shouldn't try to convert each other because everyone believes in different things so Ihan stop because you might think the Bible is better but the truth is every holy book is just the same it tells stories and leads the people of ones religion.

Because people in general, are emotional, passionate creatures. Sooner or later religious discussions come up, which lead to arguments as one tries to frustratingly convince the other that they are right. This can lead to violence if left unchecked. In the end, no one wins and both are left with bitter feelings about the others beliefs.
We're also creatures of habit. We're taught that the way we learned is the only correct way. Most of us are so comfortable with it that we continue to blindly pass this on from generation to generation. Every now and then someone breaks this bond and does something else, hence they become ostracized. Since these beliefs become well entrenched, other ways are foreign and can be scary to our comfortable ways. Unless we open our minds more, the fighting will always be a part of us.

because the father of lies very subtly corrupted/influenced the minds of men to create rules and traditions of worship that became the cause of dissension between the temples, (churches), which Jesus strictly forbade in person!. These rules are known as dogma and keep us divided.
A similar thing is going on with the Muslims. One sect thinks (or is led to believe) that the other sect(s) are wrong, therefore they are evil and must be destroyed.
weather between denominations, or different religions, it is a misled belief of, "I'm right, they're wrong, My church group//temple/congregation, is the only group going to heaven and everyone else is condemned to eternal torment

People of the Christian faith are not strapping on bombs and blowing up innocent people to get attention. Oh, we also don't cut your head off if you don't convert. The Pope is right and the sooner the rest of the world starts realizing the truth, the sooner we can stop this islamo-facist wave that is trying to take over the planet.
Since I live in the present and not the past, I don't care what happened 900 years ago. Christians are not bombing muslims today so get over it and join the 21st century.

For years, denominational preachers and brethren have argued that we may have differing views of "doctrinal matters," but that we must agree on the essential elements of "the gospel." In other words, one group may play a piano in worship and another may not; one might practice sprinkling while another church insists on immersion. Such "doctrinal issues" are irrelevant. However, they say, we must agree upon the "essentials" of the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ).Look at this subject in light of Acts 15 and Galatians 1 and 2.
Paul spoke of those who would "pervert the gospel of Christ" (Gal. 1:6-9). When they do so, he said, they are preaching "another gospel." Further, when the gospel is perverted, when "another gospel" is substituted, the result is that souls are "removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ" (. Gal. 1:6; 1 Cor. 1:9; and Gal. 3:1; 5:7).
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Both the catholic and muslim religions are false religions that have horribly twisted the true meaning of the Scriptures throughout history in many ways. May be we should consider forming a new religion with a better understanding of the Bible to replace the false religions of the world. Tell me if you don't think elijah3's posts in the Immortality Institutes forum on "why money doesn't bring happiness" doesn't have the right idea? Checkout his posts at:

there is only one, true religion that God established. and the fact that there are more than a thousand religion existing nowadays should be enough reason for you to be alarmed and search for the true one! you should know first above everything else if you belong to the true religion. Seek for the truth, read the bible.
