Why would God make a human being, let's say for example, "Sean". "Sean" was designed with an intelligence and personality where he doesn't believe anything unless it can be proved. He doesn't want to be decieved. God has not given any evidence to satisfy "Sean". "Sean" doesn't believe. "Sean" is willing to look at all evidence presented. So far in life its been "Bible" or "baby's faces". But other religions, for example, Islam, suggest "Sean" should have faith in Allah because of Qur'an and Babies faces.

"Sean" chooses not to believe because there is not definitive evidence in God or Allah. There is a book called Illiad and "Sean" does not believe in Zeus.

Why would God take "Sean's" soul and throw it into a lake of fire. Isn't that a bit illogical?

I completely agree with you. It just doesn't seem right. He wants everyone to be one of his sheep who go around and believe despite the absence of logic or proof. It's a shame we have to be so smart just to be punished for it... ;0)

Sean's problem isn't that he's intelligent, it's that he's chosen to steer his life off of a faulty philosophical view point empiricism. Certainly not something God gave Him. Sean's problem isn't lack of evidence it's that he "suppresses the truth in unrighteousness" There is a good deal of evidence in for the Christian God, but some think that because someone can come up with this or that reason that the evidence could be viewed in a different light, that that is somehow more legitimate. Sean goes to Hell, not for his beliefs, but because of the moral crimes he committed during his life.

Not that I agree with what I'm about to say, but you haven't shown how God would be illogical in doing any of this, he just might be mean, or any other number of things. You haven't shown the logical fallacy that God's supposed to be committing in your question.

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Romans 1:20

I believe that science is the study of processes created and set in place by God to accomplish his ends in this world. So you see the work of God's hands and instead of worshipping the creator would you rather worship the created things?

You have faith in science. I say faith because you believe in things you can't see or explain yourself. You trust scientists to do the research and tell you the truth. I have faith in God.

Like I said in the other question, I truly believe that there won't be as many people in the lake of fire as some Christians are saying. I believe that we will all see a true revelation when the world ends, when it changes, because there were things that John was told NOT to write in Revelation, to seal them up instead, if I remember right.

I'm sure you've noticed that Jesus came into a world that was dominated by an oppressive government, saturated with slavery, and disadvantaged economically for much of the population. Yet, He did not seek to alter man's political, social or economic status. Why not? Simply put, the externals in life will never change much. It is forever true that one "born of woman is of few days and full of trouble" (Job 14:1). Jesus told the truth when He noted, "the poor you have with you always" (John 12:8). So He came to change what was in the hearts of men and women."The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men" (Titus 2:11). The infinite mercy of God neither ignores nor neglects any man. All have access unto the healing, cleansing powers of heaven (Isa. 55:7; Acts 10:34, 35). "Whosoever will" may come to the Lord and find grace to help in time of need (Rev. 22:17). The Bible is written by witness who saw all that He did...thats all the proof we need.

If there is a god who would do this then I want no part of him- what kind of an *** would follow such a profound sadist?
A god who would do something so horrible and cruel is a god who should be condemned himself.
Those aren't the actions of a merciful, loving and righteous god- those are the actions of a tyrant.

That's not my god and it never will be.

What's more- this assumes that there is one. Just because you believe something doesn't make it so. Believing in the Easter Bunny doesn't make him real...

ask Sean where babies come from. This is one of God's biggest miracles. And, how does Sean perceive the universe came about? In addition, since God is in most religions and such a huge population believes in God, what's Sean['s theory for not believing? What has Sean missed?

God doesnt throw anyone's soul into hell. They end up there on their own. Whether sean wants to believe God is up to sean. Everyone makes that choice. Its human nature to want proof, to see in order to believe.

The cery definition of faith is "belief in things unseen." Everyone has equal ability to choose to believe something regardless of how it can be proved.

People end up in hell, and subsequently will be judged and end up in a firey lake because Adam sinned and gave all human alligance to the devil, instead of to God, which is where it originally was. Christ died to fix that, so that all could believe and be saved from hell which is where they are going on their own.

Its really not complicated. Its simply a question of whether or not Sean wants to believe or not. Thats his choice, and his alone.

Draw close to me and I will draw close to you. Thats what God said. The more you seek him, the more you find him. The more you seek to disprove him, the more he draws away and the less of him you find.

Simple. He made it all insanely simple. We complicate the hell out of it... or into it. Whichever way you see it.

God doesn't create people so that they don't believe in him, He gave us all free will, otherwise we'd be just like robots. Unfortunately, many people CHOOSE not to llisten to him, and people wonder what's wrong with America today. All the Seans in the world choose not to believe in God, even though he tries to reach out to them every day.

Illogical and immature. I don't believe in hell. I think it is an invention of people who want others to follow religious rules. It doesn't make sense to me that God would go around having temper tantrums like a naughty toddler.
